This year, the total number of candidates in SSC and equivalent examinations is 20 lakh 21 thousand 7. Last year there were 22 lakh 43 thousand 254 candidates. In this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations, the number of candidates has decreased by about two and a half lakh as compared to last year.

SSC Exam starting from June 19 have been Suspended Today | This year, students from 29,519 educational institutions across the country under 9 general education boards, madrasas and technical education boards are expected to take part in SSC, Dakhil and SSC (Vocational) examinations at 3,690 centers.
This time the test time has been reduced from three hours to two hours. There will be 20 minutes for MCQ part of question paper and 1 hour 40 minutes for creative part.
Earlier, due to the inauguration of the Padma Bridge, it was decided to postpone the June 25 test by one day. But now all the tests have been postponed due to the floods.

MA Khair, information and public relations officer in the education minister’s office, told Desh TV on Friday (June 18th) that “SSC and equivalent examinations in all subjects of all education boards have been postponed due to the deteriorating overall flood situation in the country.” “The new schedule will be announced later,” he said.
The flood situation has been deteriorating in different parts of the country including Sylhet for the last few days. Water has caused concern among students and parents. They were apprehensive about taking part in the exams as roads and houses were submerged along with the educational institutions.
Gowainghat and Companiganj upazilas have been most affected in Sylhet. Teaching has been stopped in all 47 institutions in Gowainghat and 28 in Kompaniganj. Besides, teaching is closed in 36 educational institutions in Kanaighat, 12 in Jaintapur, 13 in Bishwanath, 19 in Sylhet Sadar and 13 in Zakiganj.
It has been said that SSC General, SSC Vocational and Dakhil examinations of all education boards to be held on June 19 have been postponed due to deteriorating overall flood situation in the country. The changed examination schedule will be informed later.
